As a youngster, I would go wading with my Dad for brookies, browns and rainbows on the Cedar River in Eastern Michigan, and the Smokey Mountains streams of Tennessee.  As I grew older, I concentrated more on bass and walleye.  I n the mid 1990’s, I was reintroduced to fish of the Great Lakes and it’s tributaries.  Ultimately, the steelhead of the river changed my lifestyle, literally, overnight.  Each time a new comer lands his or her first steelhead, I kind of relive my first “hook up”, on a fly, standing in the Pere Marquette river.  There’s Nothing Like It! 

My name is Dan Wittum.  I am a certified USCG licensed captain, properly insured and hold permits that allow Wild Dreams Outfitters, LLC to guide the Pere Marquette, Manistee, White, Muskegon, and the St. Joe rivers.  Year ‘round, we can be found on one of these tributaries in search of the next game fish.
